Sporting Clays Tournament
Habitat Broward is celebrating over 30 years of building homes in Broward County! With the faithful support of home sponsors, volunteers and our Habitat staff, more than 376 families are in safe, affordable homes. It is our goal to raise enough money — $70,000 — from this tournament to be able to build a new home for another hard-working family!
Women Building a Legacy
Habitat Broward’s annual Women Build program brings together women from all walks of life and challenges them to make a positive impact on the future of Broward County by providing safe, healthy housing for low and very-low income families. Since 2002, thousands of women in Broward have shared their time, talents and resources to build nearly 50 Women Build homes, making Habitat Broward’s program one of the largest and most successful in the United States.
Every year during the month of March, hundreds of college students from across the country travel to Fort Lauderdale to help Habitat Broward build simple, decent, affordable homes for low-income families in need. The volunteers are participants of Habitat for Humanity International’s Collegiate Challenge, which is one of the country’s largest alternative spring break programs and offers the opportunity for students to gain new skills, make new friends, and make a meaningful impact on the community.
During March 2016, Habitat Broward welcomed volunteers from Mount Carmel College of Nursing, University of Mary Washington, York College of Pennsylvania, Clark University, University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, Connecticut College, Fitchburg State University, The College at Brockport.

Spirit of Humanity Awards
Habitat for Humanity of Broward held its annual Spirit of Humanity Awards Reception Tuesday night at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66.
Jack Boyle and the Boyle Family; Rick, Rita and Raquel Case (Rick Case Automotive Group); John and Amy Daly (SurfaceLogix); the Koenig Family (City Furniture) and Arlene Pecora (Signature Grand) were all honored for their extensive support of this year’s Women Build.
This year’s Women Build attracted some 500 women who volunteered their time over a four-month period to help build five new homes in Sunrise.
With the five new homes, the Women Build has now helped construct 61 homes for low and very-low income families.
