Habitat and Historic Miramar

Miramar is among the most cost-burdened cities in Broward, which is already ranked the most cost-burdened housing market in the nation.
Habitat for Humanity of Broward is scheduled to begin this new build in April 2019 to address this need. Single family, Mediterranean-inspired homes are planned for six hard-working, low-income families in historic Miramar, thanks to the City of Miramar, Habitat, and partners like you.

Sponsors are still needed to help our families build their forever homes. Email Barbara Witte to learn how you can get involved or click here to learn more about this build.

Washington Park – Seven (7) homes

Washington Park is in the Broward Municipal Services District, an area long overdue for community reinvestment. Habitat Broward has completed a total of 12 homes in this district, seven of which are in Washington Park. Seven families have now moved into their new homes, thanks to the dedicated Habitat Broward volunteers,  staff, and families!

Pompano Beach – Six (6) homes

With the help of our volunteers, staff, and families, Habitat Broward has completed six homes in Pompano Beach. These families are now thriving in their new environment and we are so thankful to all those who helped make their dream of homeownership a reality.

Roosevelt Garden – Five (5) homes

Habitat Broward broke ground on five homes in the second phase of our work with the Broward Municipal Services District. The builds are now complete and families have moved into these homes, strengthened by services including health education, public safety, walking school buses and neighborhood beautification.
